I just got back from watching this movie and I've watched the trailer like 8 more times in a row, I'm still perplexed and gripped by his character. I simply can' believe how epic Adam was in this movie. The walkout of the elevator just confirms he's totally immersed in the madness of this character who will emotionally eviscerate anything that slows him down. He's a straight razor who cuts you deep when you don't even know it and then you feel bad for him because you believe he really made an honest mistake. It's the greatest display of emotional insanity I've ever seen. If Nicolas Cage won an academy award for playing an Alcoholic in Leaving Las Vegas. Adam will win one for playing a degenerate gambler in Uncut Gems. Go see this movie right fucking now.
This scene scared the hell out of me. Everybody gangsta until robert pattinson starts speaking enchantment table. Doctors meghory. Doktors meigs road. Doctors migrant kids border. Doctors mesquite tx. When he said “theyre not special, theyre starving!” I was freaked out. I didn't even know there was a movie made about Doctor sleep wtf. Weird throwback to Society in there as well, if anyone remembers the Shunting. It's odd but I've taken quite a shine to this lol. All the actors in this film did a great job. Ewan McGregor and Rebecca Ferguson gave solid performances, but this young actress was absolutely amazing. She killed the role.
I saw this yesterday and it is one of the best films I have ever seen. It is a must watch, as long as you have seen The Shining first. Doktors meigs street. I thoroughly enjoyed that. I think for my generation, The Shining is one of those movies that is etched into your memory. Much like Blade Runner, a sequel to such a revered and influential classic, is surely frought with danger.
Despite the trepidation, I had confidence that the creators behind Doctor Sleep would surely recognise this and rise to the challenge. And rise they did. Though my anticipation of this movie was as much to do with nostalgia as it was for the sheer entertainment, I'm pleased that much of the movie is a stand-alone story; introducing sinister and disturbing characters and a plot that makes you forget about your anticipation of the Overlook.
The pacing is spot on, a couple of truly harrowing and impactful scenes and stunning visuals throughout.
My only gripe... a small one in the grand scheme of the story, but a significant one if you're anticipating it, is when the ghosts of the Overlook eventually do make their appearance. The twins were rather cheesy and unconvincing. Delivering the same creepy lines, but not exactly the same cadence. The sound and look of them from the original are just so particular, that this movie would've done better to keep them distant; not so prominent on screen, if they couldn't absolutely nail it. And I don't think they did nail that aspect. A couple of the other original ghosts were a little unconvincing also.
But all that said, it was an excellent and compelling story, with much original content and an appropriate dash of Kubrick to complete the experience.
I just watched this movie last night at the cinemas with my cousin really scary.
Movie info=The nations release the substance CW-7 with the intention of controlling global warning, but accidentally it results in another Ice Age destroying Earth. The only survivors live in the train Snowpiercer which is driven by a perpetual motion engine created by the millionaire Wilford (Ed Harris) that lives in the engine part. In 2031, after seventeen years, there is a fight of classes inside the train since the oppressed lower class lives in dreadful conditions in the last wagons of the train while the elite lives in the front wagons. The lower class is fed with protein bars only; they are oppressed and punished by Minister Mason (Tilda Swinton) and her brutal guards; and their children are taken every now and then when they reach a certain height. The leaders Gilliam (Sir John Hurt), Curtis Everett (Chris Evans), and Edgar (Jamie Bell) are plotting a scheme to reach the engine and talk to Wilford about their conditions using the addicted security engineer Namgoong Minsoo (Song Kang-ho) and his clairvoyant daughter Yona (Ko Asung) that are imprisoned to open the locked doors. When the son of Tanya (Octavia Spencer), Tim (Marcanthonee Reis), is captured by Mason, they decide to execute their plan. There are many casualties and soon Curtis discovers that they have been manipulated by Wilford to balance the resources in the train, and why the magnate keeps the lower class alive. genre=Drama, Action. I watched this movie and I honestly expected more. but what can I expect. Snowpiercer 2. Whenever I see the polar bear, I just think Man, these guys CANNOT catch a break! Because that polar bear is looking at them and thinking lunch. Great video! I agreed with 99% of it (pun intended. However, the polar bear has been known to resemble symbolizes endurance, strength, determination, protection, and peace. Its white coat embodies invisibility, purity, surrender, and acceptance. and animal signifies that you are fierce, strong, adaptable and also playful. Just as a polar bear survives in harsh climatic conditions, you too, do not complain and know how to tackle adverse situations. To me says that there is hope, but it will take further courage, strength, endurance, and the ability to adapt to survive. To me the polar bear is a symbol of the daughter and child (forgive me forget her/his name. In the movie she's playful (remember the scenes going through the club train section and there after. Smiling having fun holding a bottle of alcohol, playful side. Strong, because she was willing to stab the terminater-esque man (albeit her father stopped her) but she had the strength and courage to do what needed to be done. Adaptable, due to the harsh living of the tail end of the train and the willingness to venture outside of the train. This is just my opinion, and again loved the break down of this, I literally just watched this last night. And there is soooooo much symbolism in this movie than what was mention in this video. There are a lot of esoteric symbolism hidden in the movie, e.g. the man with the angel wings falling, the unstoppable man being stabbed in the side like Jesus on the cross, the light-bearer Wilford whom controls the chaos that is this train. Lucifer the light bearer whom brings technology and knowledge to the people and controls the world (well the ones privy to it, he's fellow fallen ones. And the people in the back of the train, IMO resembles the meek of the world. And one day, the meek will inherit the earth. Idk, these are just my thoughts and I'm sure I am way off base. But, hey, fun to theorize.
